Overseeding & Slit Seeding

If your grass is thin, patchy, or dying, overseeding can help bring it back to life. Overseeding spreads an abundance of grass seed on top of the turf, which eventually results in germination. The best time to overseed is in the spring (so the grass grows over the summer) or the fall (so the grass sprouts in the spring). If your lawn is particularly thin, you may want to overseed twice a season.

Slit Seeding is a different process, and is a cost-effective alternative to re-sodding. The Turf Medic team will bring in a slit seeding machine, which digs thousands of tiny trenches in the turf and plants seeds within each one. This process maximizes germination of the seeds, and results in a thick, luscious lawn.
